IMMACULATA, PA.- The TCNJ baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup on the road against Immaculata on Tuesday by a score of 4-3. The Lions (18-9) traded off runs with the Mighty Macs (17-12) in the second and fifth inning, but Immaculata scored again in the sixth and seventh. TCNJ scored one run again in the ninth but could not find the equalizer.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• TCNJ found the scoreboard first in the top of the second on two hits to take a 1-0 lead.
  • Ryan Goodall led off the inning with a one-out single to second and stole second with two outs. A Michael Schumacher single to right brought in Goodall for the first runs of the game.
• The Mighty Macs evened the score in the bottom half on three hits to bring the tally to 1-1.
• TCNJ retook the lead in the fifth on a Mike LaGravenis sac-fly to drive in Schumacher.
• Two hits and a run for Immaculata in the home half of the fifth tied the game at 2-2. They took a 3-2 lead in the sixth on three more hits before extending their lead to two in the seventh on another pair of hits.
• In the ninth, TCNJ put the Mighty Macs in a jam as they had bases loaded and one out. The Lions scored on a fielders choice, but it took the tying run away from third base. A fly-out to right the next batter sealed the win for Immaculata.
