EWING, N.J. – The No. 9 TCNJ women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a resounding 18-6 win over Montclair State on a picture-perfect Saturday afternoon.
Marissa Lucca went off for six goals and two assists to lead the Lions, who also got hat-tricks from seniors
Ally Tobler (4G/1A) and
Natalie Berry (3G/1A) as well as one from
Veronica Campbell (3G) in remaining perfect in NJAC competition.

- TCNJ is now 10-4 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC, while Montclair dropped to 8-4 overall and 2-2 in league play
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Lucca stole the show early on Senior Day, scoring the first two goals of the game inside of the first two minutes
- Tobler followed with two of her own in a 30-second span before Berry got on the board and Lucca capped her first-quarter hat-trick, expanding the margin to 6-0 only eight minutes into the game
- Montclair got on the board with 3:17 to go in the first, only for Tobler to score on the woman-up with 27 seconds left and Campbell to beat the buzzer with a free-position tally, making it 8-1 after one quarter
- Naiburg started the second-quarter scoring with a woman-up goal, and Lucca scored 33 seconds later on a feed from Tobler to extend the lead to 10-1
- The Red Hawks netted back-to-back goals to stop the bleeding, but the rest of the half was all TCNJ; Tobler, Campbell, Lucca, and CJ Kole hit the back of the cage to give the hosts a 14-3 advantage at the break
- Berry and Lucca scored to make it 16-3 before MSU pulled one back, but Campbell put a bow on her hat-trick with 20 seconds left in the third
- The Red Hawks deposited back-to-back goals to get within 11 (17-6), but Berry finished off her own hat-trick inside the final minute for the final margin
FOR THE FOES
- Amra Lukovic scored three goals and added one assist
- Norah Monaghan paired two goals with one assist
- Joey Grotkopf finished with 11 saves
STANDOUT LIONS
- Lucca matched her career high with eight points, her third such outing of the season, and scooped up a game-high five ground balls
- Tobler added a game-high six draw controls to her five points
- Berry posted her second hat-trick of the year and tied her season high with four points
- Campbell collected her first career hat-trick
- Kole had a goal and two assists and Naiburg had one of each
- Meghan Hogan produced three ground balls and two caused turnovers
- Birnbohm-Kaminski equaled Hogan with a pair of caused turnovers
- Wernik had five draw controls
- Charest made three saves
NOTES
- Tobler passed Repy Hattersley '82 and Pam Pluguez '95 and into 3rd on the all-time scoring list with 214 career goals, and her 249 points are now good for 9th all-time
- Wernik grabbed her 100th career ground ball and moved into 7th in school history with her 73rd caused turnover
