Tobler Scores 200th Goal as Lacrosse Slams Stockton

EWING, N.J. – Marissa Lucca's huge game and another major milestone for Ally Tobler headlined a memorable afternoon for the No. 10 TCNJ lacrosse team on Tuesday, a 19-4 rout that handed previously unbeaten Stockton its first loss in convincing fashion.

Lucca put up six goals and two assists and Tobler registered her 200th career goal for the Lions, who extended their winning streak to three with an emphatic defeat of one of the six remaining unblemished squads in Division III.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The scoring slowed down in the second, and Kira Sides' free-position conversion sent the Lions into halftime with a 10-3 advantage
  • It didn't take long for TCNJ to run the spread into double figures. Naiburg assisted on tallies by Natalie Berry and Lucca before Tobler made it a running clock and a 13-3 lead with 10:36 left in the third
  • Lucca found the back of the net twice more in the third – sandwiched around a free-position goal by Naiburg – as the Lions stretched the margin to 13 before Stockton's last-second goal made it 16-4
