PITMAN, N.J. - For the second time in her illustrious career, TCNJ softball's
Julia Kinnally has been tabbed the NJAC Player of the Year, as released by the conference this morning.
Â
The graduate student is joined by
Maya Knasiak,
Kaci Neveling,
Sara Vincent and
Mckayla Yard on the First Team, with
Elizabeth Gosse earning a spot on the Second Team. The Lions' five First Team honorees are tied for the most in the NJAC, while their six total selections trails only Rowan (7) for the most in the conference.
Â
Kinnally was a no-brainer for her second career NJAC Player of the Year selection after slashing an unbelievable .491/.531/.825 in NJAC play this season. In 18 conference games, the graduate student paced the NJAC in RBIs (23) while ranking second in home runs (4) and third in hits (28), with Kinnally's OPS of 1.356 leading qualifying players by a wide margin.
Â
Also a First Team All-Conference honoree, the Pearl River, N.Y.-native is now just the second player in program history to be a two-time NJAC Player of the Year, joining assistant coach Michelle Neveling who won the award in both 1994 and 1995.
Â
Knasiak was nearly untouchable in NJAC play en route to the first All-Conference selection of her career, going 8-1 with an ERA of 1.92 in nine starts against conference foes. The sophomore's eight wins were tied for the most in NJAC play, with Knasiak finishing second in strikeouts (58) and opponent's batting average (.153) – both behind only Pitcher of the Year Nerina Tramp – and third in complete games (7). Also a contributor at the plate, the right-hander hit .333 (7-21) with two doubles and an RBI in the NJAC.
Â
A mainstay on the All-Conference list, Neveling is now a five-time First Team All-NJAC selection. The graduate student did what she has done for her entire career with the Blue and Gold in 2025, slashing .407/.470/.576 in conference play with 19 runs – good for fourth in the conference – six doubles and two triples. Neveling came up big for the Lions on a number of occasions in the regular season, hitting walk-offs in a pair of wins over Manhattanville and then 25th-ranked Ramapo.
Â
Vincent's first All-NJAC selection is to the First Team following a standout season during the Lions' conference slate. In 18 games the sophomore ranked top six in the NJAC in both batting average (.424) and hits (25), adding 11 RBIs to her impressive totals. Vincent had more multi-hit games (7) than games without a hit (2) against conference opponents, including a stretch of four contests in which the Parsippany, N.J.-native hit a blistering .769.
Â
Yard was TCNJ's fifth and final First Team honoree after putting together a career-best season in her senior campaign. Yard slashed .400/.429/.620 in 18 NJAC games, finishing tied for second in the conference in triples (2), fifth in RBIs (15) and top 10 in both OPS (1.049) and hits (20). The senior also finished with a .902 fielding percentage playing third base, finishing fourth in the NJAC and second at the position with 42 assists.
Gosse pushes her career All-NJAC tally to three following her second straight selection to the Second Team in 2025. The junior finished the season 7-2 in conference games with a 2.72 ERA – good enough for 10th in the NJAC – tossing four complete games and allowing just a .228 batting average.
