PITMAN, N.J. – TCNJ student-athletes racked up a remarkable nine NJAC weekly awards on Monday as the conference releases its top performers from the previous week.

The men's track and field team swept the weekly honors behind Maxim Rychkov (Track Athlete of the Week), Braden Paulmenn (Field Athlete of the Week), and Victor Akinboboye (Rookie of the Week), while women's track picked up a pair of awards in Track Athlete of the Week Lucia Garcia-Beltran and Field Athlete of the Week Sarah Scepkowski.

The men's swimming team had a tandem of recipients in M.J. Hoban (Swimmer of the Week) and Gabe Beverini (Rookie), while Matthew Solomon was named Player of the Week in men's basketball and Brooke McFadden was Defensive Player of the Week in women's basketball.

Rychkov set yet another program record this past Friday at the Lions Indoor Invitational, posting a 47.95 in the 400-meter dash. His mark is currently the sixth-fastest time in Division III as well as the 23rd-fastest time across the NCAA.

Paulmenn paced the Lions in two throwing events on Friday, finishing third in the shot put (15.38m) and fourth in the weight throw (13.98m).

In her first race since joining the Lions as a transfer from Rutgers, Garcia-Beltran took down a program record which had stood for over a decade. She logged a lightning-fast 7.63 in the 60-meter dash to win the event with the 5th-fastest in Division III.

Scepkowski posted the 20th-best mark high jump mark in Division III so far this year (1.60m). She finished second in that event only behind a jumper from Division I Fordham.

Hoban put in an excellent day at TCNJ's tri-meet against No. 14 Johns Hopkins and Washington and Lee, helping the Lions secure first-place points against the Blue Jays in his two individual events. He won the 50 Free with a time of 20.96, and placed second in the 100 Free with a time of 46.14. Hoban also logged a 44.32 in the free leg of the 400 Medley Relay and a 20.27 in the 200 Free Relay; both times were the fastest in their events.

Beverini finished inside of the top five in all three of his individual events. He placed 5th in the 100 Breast (58.05), 4th in the 200 Breast (2:09.04), and 2nd in the 200 IM (1:55.38).

He went 7-for-9 from the field on the way to a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, when he became the 27th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points.
