EWING, N.J. – Marissa Lucca's explosive season-opening performance landed her national recognition on Tuesday, when the TCNJ senior was named Division III Player of the Week by USA Lacrosse.
Already named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, Lucca racked up six goals and three assists in Saturday's 12-8 victory over Catholic. The nine points moved her past 200 for her career, making her the 23
rd player in program history to attain that milestone – despite only having two full seasons under her belt.
On the heels of her first career national weekly award, Lucca next leads the 16
th-ranked Lions into a matchup at Moravian on March 4.
