D3hoops.com All-Region Teams

EWING, N.J. - TCNJ women's basketball's Amanda Baylock has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region IV Third Team, as announced by the organization this morning. The sophomore is one of four NJAC athletes to garner recognition, and extends the program's streak of seasons with an All-Region honoree to three.

Baylock stepped into a starting role as a sophomore and put up career numbers across the board en route to her maiden All-Region nod, most notably upping her scoring average from 5.3 points per game as a freshman to a team-best 13.9 in Year 2. Also a First Team All-NJAC selection, the sophomore entered the NCAA Tournament ranked second in the conference and 27th nationally in 3-pointers per game (2.5), helping the Lions rank third in all of Division III in the category (10.2 per game) behind only undefeated NYU (10.8) and Aurora (10.4).

Listed at the top of most scouting reports, Baylock scored at least 20 points on four different occasions – including a pair of 27-point outings against then-11th-ranked Trinity (CT) and Rowan – and was at her best in a 33-point eruption against Kean in which the sophomore shot 11-of-19 from the field and drained a personal best seven triples.

Thanks in large part to the play of the sophomore, the Lions won their first NJAC Championship since the 2008-09 season, and made their return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
