LEBANON, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team kept its unbeaten spring rolling right along with a 7-0 sweep of RIT at Courtside Racquet Club on Saturday night.
With RIT unable to field a third doubles team, TCNJ (6-0) only needed to win one of the two courts to claim the doubles point.
Eleni Dakos and
Gabrielle Brideau cinched that up quickly, rolling to a 6-0 bagel at No. 2.
After
Anusha Perinkolam was awarded a win at No. 6 singles via forfeit,
Shruti Mannan made it 3-0 with a straightforward 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
With Dakos and
Zoey Albert racing to claim the clinching point, it was Albert doing the honors with an impressive 6-4, 6-2 defeat of Kira Kronenberg at No. 2.
Dakos was right behind, closing out a 7-5, 6-3 decision over Emily Greb on the top court.
Elizabeth Ring (6-1, 6-1) and
Gabriella Robinson (6-3, 6-1) polished off the sweep in style with dominant performances in the fifth and fourth flights, respectively.
