Lions' Bats Erupt in 25-17 Win Over Immaculata

IMMACULATA, Pa. – On Tuesday, the TCNJ baseball team went on the road to Immaculata for their penultimate non-conference game of the season. A mind-boggling 42 runs were scored in the contest, and TCNJ came out on top by a score of 25-17.

The Lions (13-17) racked up 20 hits against Immaculata (10-16), four of which came from Braden Dromboski. The junior infielder amassed six RBIs in the game, which is the most in a single game by a Lion since 2024. Dromboski highlighted his career day with his second career home run — a fifth-inning solo shot to left field. Fellow junior Jake Carter wasn't far behind, as he racked up five RBIs, two hits, and three runs.

In addition to Dromboski and Carter, Antonio Destribats also recorded a hard-to-believe individual statistic: five runs. That number is the most by a Lions in at least the last 15 season. The freshman also achieved a pair of career firsts in the contest, logging the multi-hit game and stolen base of his collegiate career.

Chris Salmon, Brian Lovaglio, Michael Contiliano, and Jack O'Donnell also batted in multiple runs. Salmon recorded three on a bases-clearing triple in the fifth, while the other three players in that group collected two RBIs each. Lovaglio and Contiliano also got three runs and O'Donnell had two.

The Mighty Macs actually scored the first run of the game, but TCNJ took a 6-3 lead in the third inning (in which they scored six runs) and never looked back. Immaculata scored in every inning of the contest, but TCNJ used a pair of seven-run frames — one in the fifth and one in the ninth — to come away with an eight-run victory. Both teams also ran through pretty much their entire selection of pitchers. The Lions put out ten different pitchers in the game, which was one more than Immaculata who sent out nine different arms during the course of the four-hour game.
