EWING, N.J. – Behind massive performances from
Marissa Lucca,
Kelly Nevins, and
Emily Potenza, the No. 18 TCNJ women's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-1 NJAC victory over Ramapo on Saturday.
Lucca finished with seven goals and four assists in her second consecutive double-figure point effort, while Nevins racked up six goals and three assists and Potenza coupled four goals with two assists for the Lions (12-2, 3-0).
TCNJ scored 10 goals in the first quarter to get the rout started. Lucca scored twice around a marker by Nevins, and Potenza added a fourth inside the first five minutes of action.
Nevins assisted on goals by Lucca and
Abbie Teefy, then Lucca finished a feed from
Ella Okurowski to make it 7-0. Two more goals from Nevins and a second by Potenza started the running clock with a 10-0 lead and just over a minute to play in the opening frame.
Lucca added another goal and a pair of assists – both to Potenza – as TCNJ scored five more in the second quarter to take a 15-0 lead into halftime.
Nevins and Lucca potted third-period goals, Lucca's a stunning behind-the-back effort that rocketed into the top right corner of the cage.
Lucca and Sieja then assisted on each other's goals to make it 19-0 early in the fourth. The Roadrunners (5-9, 0-3) ended the shutout bid with their lone goal at the 7:51 mark, and Nevins ended the scoring with 5:30 to go.

- TCNJ piled up a 41-2 advantage in shots
- Ramapo turned it over 21 times and was just 6-of-19 on clears
- TCNJ only had eight turnovers for the day and racked up 24 ground balls to the Roadrunners' five

STANDOUT LIONS
- Lucca scored on all but one of her eight shot attempts and also had four draw controls
- Nevins notched a new career high in points (9) alongside four ground balls and three caused turnovers
- Potenza produced career highs in goals and points and scooped up six grounders
- Teefy tallied two goals, one assist, and a game-high seven draws
- Evie Campbell (three) and Okurowski (two) combined for five assists
- Sydney Sieja had four ground balls
- Hailey Wexler saved a free-position shot in the first half before giving way to Kylie Kurtz (third quarter) and Jordyn Landman (fourth) in the second half

- Lucca became the 5th player in program history to eclipse 100 career assists and also moved into 5th on the all-time points list with 280
- Lucca now has 179 career goals, good for 13th in program history
- Potenza is now 14th in school history with 64 caused turnovers
