Dakos, Women's Tennis Dominate All-NJAC Team

4/23/2026 11:00:00 AM

PITMAN, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team reeled in a remarkable haul of accolades as the NJAC officially released its all-conference roster on Thursday.

All six starters were named All-NJAC in both singles and doubles for the Lions, with Eleni Dakos headlining the list as NJAC Player of the Year.

Zoey Albert, Gabrielle Brideau, Shruti Mannan, Elizabeth Ring, and Gabriella Robinson all earned double all-conference nods, while Scott Dicheck and his staff were named Flo Labenski Coaching Staff of the Year.

The 13th individual NJAC Player of the Year in program history, Dakos has delivered a magnificent single season in Ewing after transferring back to her home state from Kenyon. She is 41-8 overall, including matching 16-2 dual marks at No. 1 singles and at No. 2 doubles alongside Brideau. She is currently ranked 6th in the NCAA's Region 2 rankings for singles.

The 2025 NJAC Player of the Year, Albert is in the midst of another monster season. The junior is 16-2 in dual matches at No. 2 singles while posting a record of 15-3 at No. 1 doubles with Mannan. Albert just joined the Region 2 singles rankings at No. 8, while she and Mannan have vaulted up to 4th in the doubles rankings.

Only a junior, Albert is already 18th in program history with 118 career victories. An All-NJAC honoree in singles and doubles for the third straight season, she is one of just nine players in school history to rack up at least six all-conference awards, and will have a chance to join Charlotte Roarty '23 as the lone players to ever receive eight such nods.

Brideau adds a second consecutive All-NJAC singles honor to her first career doubles laurel after moving up to No. 3 in the singles lineup. In addition to her sparking record with Dakos at No. 2 doubles, Brideau is 9-6 in singles duals, with three of those losses going to three sets.

The 2025 NJAC Rookie of the Year, Mannan is an All-NJAC singles and doubles honoree for the second year in a row after a sensational sophomore campaign. She is 14-3 in singles duals, playing almost entirely at No. 4, and has teamed with Albert to form one of the dominant doubles duos in the region. Mannan is a remarkable 44-5 in her career in doubles play and already owns 72 overall victories.

A co-captain alongside Albert, Robinson notches her first career instance of earning all-conference honors in both singles and doubles in the same season. A four-time All-NJAC honoree overall, Robinson is 16-2 in singles duals (primarily at No. 5) and has gone 16-2 at No. 3 doubles with Ring. More than half of the tandem's doubles dual wins have been by 6-0 bagel. Robinson recently eclipsed 100 career wins and has another year to add to her burgeoning resume.

Ring is an All-NJAC performer for the first time after a stellar sophomore season in which she has logged a 16-2 record in dual matches at No. 6 singles in addition to her dominance at third doubles with Robinson. Like Mannan, Ring is on track to post hefty win totals at the end of her career, already with 66 combined victories to her credit less than halfway through her TCNJ tenure.

Dicheck is now a 13-time NJAC Coach of the Year on the women's side.

The Lions are rolling along at 18-1 overall after Wednesday's 4-0 shutout of William Paterson in the NJAC semifinals on Wednesday. They take on Rutgers-Camden on Saturday with a 43rd consecutive conference championship in their sights.
