IWLCA Division III All-Americans

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – A pair of TCNJ senior superstars received fitting sendoffs on Friday, when Marissa Lucca and Hailey Wexler were named Division III All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

Lucca was named to the All-America First Team, while Wexler was selected to the Second Team, hard-earned cappers to a pair of careers that culminated in sensational final campaigns.

The duo's accolades give TCNJ multiple IWLCA All-Americans for the first time since 2023, and Lucca makes it six years in a row with a first-team honoree.

Lucca, who was also named a first-team All-American by USA Lacrosse, put together one of the most impressive seasons in program history. The NJAC Attack Player of the Year piled up 140 points to match Jenny LaRocca's single-season record set in 2022, dishing out 56 assists and netting 84 goals to finish two off the program benchmark. In the process, Lucca ranked 3rd in all of Division III in points, 6th in goals and points per game (6.67), 11th in assists, and 15th in goals per game (4.00).

Lucca was all but unstoppable in 2026, producing at least five points in 16 of the Lions' 21 games. She had five outings with double-digit points, headlined by a 14-point outburst (5G/9A) against Neumann to break the single-game school record; she also registered at least nine points in every NJAC regular-season game, which included a seven-goal, three-assist effort as TCNJ clinched the league's regular-season title with a 14-7 win at Rowan on April 25. She was a 3-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Week and 2-time national Player of the Week (1 IWLCA, 1 USA Lacrosse) this spring.

Lucca brought her best to the postseason as well, finishing with five goals and two assists in the NCAA second-round win over Messiah and powering the Lions to an upset of 7th-ranked Amherst with four goals and four assists in the third round. She scored two goals in the quarterfinal loss to No. 1 Middlebury, officially matching the single-season points record.

A three-time All-Region performer, two-time USA Lacrosse All-American, and two-time All-NJAC honoree, Lucca leaves TCNJ ranked 3rd in assists (123), 4th in points (333), and 6th in goals (210), all of which she accomplished in just three seasons after missing her freshman year due to injury.

After spending four years behind All-American Julia Charest, Wexler took full advantage of her first opportunity as starting goalie. The fifth-year veteran was named NJAC co-Goaltender of the Year and ranked among the nation's best in both goals-against average (6.76, 14th in D3) and save percentage (.490, 23rd). Wexler's 18 wins in 2026 are tied for the 5th-most in a single season, and her 120 saves are good for 20th.

Wexler had six games with at least eight saves this season, which featured season highs of 13 in a win over Babson and a narrow 6-4 loss to unbeaten Salisbury. She also came up with 12 stops against just nine goals allowed – two of them in the final 30 seconds – to help the Lions upset No. 7 Amherst in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

Wexler, who played in 53 games with 21 starts for her career, leaves TCNJ ranked 4th all-time in goals-against average (5.89) and 10th in save percentage (.519). With nine saves in the NCAA quarterfinals at No. 1 Middlebury, she became the 12th goalie in school history to surpass 200 career saves.
