Biography

Tapped for the 2006 NJAC All-Star Honorable Mention Team at tight end, Chris Opdyke returns this fall having earned three letters with the Lions. He will be asked to move both inside and outside to help resuscitate TCNJ’s passing game this fall. He is a big target and most certainly has the ability to make the big catch in clutch situations.

As a junior, he played in nine games with 316 receiving yards and a touchdown catch. He is the squad’s top receiver from last year’s team having averaged 35.1 yards per game. He ranked 10th in the NJAC a year ago in receiving yards per game and should use the strong finish to his junior season to help the team this fall.

He has improved greatly from his time as a rookie on special teams in the fall of 2004 and now has played in 16 games with 339 receiving yards and will be looked to for an increased role as well this season.
