                A 2007 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team honoree last season, Marc Fabiano returns this fall with an extensive list of accomplishments to his credit. A three-time TCNJ Scholar-Athlete and a Dean’s List student, Fabiano was also named to the 2007 NJAC All-Star Honorable Mention Team after excelling on the defensive line as a junior. He will serve as the Lions’ tri-captain for the coming season after being elected by his peers in the off-season.

                He added 68 tackles and returns this season as the team’s leading tackler from a year ago. Fabiano exploded for a career-high 13 tackles as the Lions knocked off 19^th ranked Rowan last fall and by year’s end had racked his second straight 50 plus tackle performance as TCNJ since transferring from Monmouth University. He ranked 20^th in the NJAC for 2007 with his 5.7 tackles per game and helped the Lions rank 21^st nationally in total defense with a 269.1 yards per game of total defense. He was part of the Lions’ defense that held the opposition to just 70.5 yards per game on the ground and helped TCNJ rank seventh nationally in rushing defense  as well as national rankings in scoring defense (tie 37^th, 17.3ppg), tackles for a loss per game (16^th, 9.4), and pass sacks per game (tie 18^th, 3.33).

                         In his first season with the Lions in 2006, Fabiano earned NJAC Rookie of the Week honors en route a banner season that saw him finish as the team’s second leading player on defense with 55 stops.

                On his young TCNJ career, he has amassed 123 career tackles in 22 games played, while adding 19.0 tackles for a loss (-104 yards) with 11.5 sacks for -87 yards.

      A health and exercise science major at TCNJ with a 3.66 gpa, Fabiano is the Lions’ football representative to the College’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). A two-time TCNJ Scholar-Athlete, he is a nine-game starter this fall and a candidate for post-season honors.
