Captain

A transfer from East Stroudsburg, James Feeley played two sports, football and wrestling for the Division II Warriors. After arriving at TCNJ in 2001 year, he earned a starting role for the Lions on offense and helped anchor the team’s offensive line. Elected a team tri-captain for the upcoming 2003 season, Feeley will provide depth and leadership for the Lions’ offensive line.

During 2001, the Lions averaged 132.8 yards per game on the ground and 222.7 yards per game in the air. Feeley helped the squad average 355.5 yards per game of total offense, while ranking third in the league in team rushing. On the season, the Lions averaged 27.6 ppg and held the ball an average of 32:57 minutes per game.

A starter for the Lions in 2002 at center, James has helped the Lions rank second among the league’s leaders in scoring (29.7 ppg), while also ranking third in total offense with 360.0 yards per game and second in rushing offense (167.6 ypg). Together with his quarterback, Bob Schurtz, the Lions have averaged 192.4 yards passing per game on the year, again surpassing the 1,000 yard mark for the second straight season.

A political science major, he is active in the College Republicans at TCNJ. This past summer he was an intern with New Jersey State Assembly candidate, Bill Baroni. He is a former three-sport athlete, having starred in football, wrestling and track at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High. A two-time District 12 wrestling champion, Feeley was also a Region 3 heavyweight champion. James’ brother Andrew is a junior center on the UMBC men’s basketball team.

Personal:  James was born on July 30, 1981.  He is the son of James and Patricia Feeley and is majoring in Political Science.
