A three-year letterwinner at TCNJ, Jon Hedgepeth has emerged as a top running back for the Lions after a breakout campaign in 2002. The Lions’ top returning rusher from 2002, Hedgepeth averaged 32.9 yards per game on the ground last season after playing in all nine games.

He added four rushing scores and will be looked to this year to carry the load as the Lions graduated three starters on offense. An athletic player, Hedgepeth’s solid frame make him a hard player to stop.

As a sophomore, he played in all ten games, but only carried the ball seven times for a net of 44 yards. As a rookie, he had 13 carries for 93 yards rushing before an injury shortened his 2000 season to only five games.

A nursing major at TCNJ, Hedgepeth plans on pursuing a career as a pharmacist upon graduation and is a former National Honor Society Student at Holy Spirit High School. While at Holy Spirit, he also earned recognition as a NFF College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete and starred in both football and track.
