For the past three season, Jason Julio has been part of a one-two punch that has had the opposition seeing double. The twin brother of Jeremy Julio, Jason is a three-time letterwinner with the Lions’s gridiron program. Jason has continued to develop his skills with the Lions and is looking for the 2003 season to be a banner one as he closes his stellar athletic career.

As a rookie, Jason played in seven games and made nine stops, including six solo tackles. He helped the Lions hold the opposition to 22.78 points per game and just 101.2 yards per game of rushing offense in 2000.

In 2001, Jason played and started all ten games and finished the year as the second leading tackler with 57 stops. He had three tackles for a loss (-7 yards), with four pass break-ups. He made 21 solo stops and held the opposition to just 167.1 yards per game on the ground, while finishing second in the league in passing defense with a 186.1 yards per game average.

As a junior, Jason racked up 44 tackles and was the team’s second leading tackler from his defensive back position. He has added one interception with three pass breakups and now has 110 career tackles with seven career pass deflections in 26 games played. He in the team’s leading returning tackler from the 2002 squad and is expected to be among the team’s leaders this fall.

An exercise science major at TCNJ, who played three sports in high school, Jason was a Scholar-Athlete at Long Branch High School. He excelled in football, swimming and baseball.
