Another of TCNJ’s two-sport athletes, Jon Mizglewski has starred for both the Lions’ football and baseball teams and has helped the baseball team earn back-to-back post-season berths, including a trip to the 2002 NCAA Division III College World Series.

As a junior, Mizglewski led the NJAC throughout the regular-season in punting and finished second in the punting race with his 38.1 yards per punt average. He had 41 punts on the season and 1,563 yards with a long of 56 yards and had 13 kicks land within the opponents’ 20 yard line. By season’s end, Mizglewski had found his way onto the 2002 NJAC and ECAC All-Conference Second Teams.

In his first season with the Lions in 2001 after transferring from William Paterson, Mizglewski handled all of the team’s punts. He averaged 34.5 yards per punt on 43 kicks with 1,483 yards and landed 10 balls within the opponents’ 20 yard-line.

On his career with the Lions, Mizglewski now has handled 87 punts for 3,133 yards and has a 36.01 yards per punt average, including a 36.26 yards per punt average at TCNJ.

As a member of the Lions’ baseball team, Mizglewski batted .354 in 2003 and added a 7-8 effort on stolen bases with a perfect fielding average in the Lions’ outfield. He has now started 15 of 56 career games played for the baseball team and has a .420 career batting average as well for the Lions.
