A returning three-year letterwinner, Kevin Pfluge will be looked to this fall to anchor the Lions’ offensive line. After appearing in just one contest as a rookie in 2002, Pfluge has emerged as an everyday starter for the Lions and has consistently helped the Lions rank among the conference leaders on offense. In 2002, TCNJ was ranked second among the league’s leaders in scoring (29.7 ppg) as well as ranking second in rushing offense (167.6 ypg). TCNJ also ranked third in total offense with 360.0 yards per game in 2002. All told, the Lions averaged 192.4 yards passing per game on the year, again surpassing the 1,000 yard mark.

In 2003 season, he gained valuable time as a part-time starter on the offensive line and helped the Lions ranks first in the NJAC in scoring (26.3 ppg) and turnover margin (+0.90), while also ranking second in total offense (344.7 ypg). On the 2004 season, he appeared in eight games and helped the Lions average 287.3 yards per game of total offense, while adjusting to the style of a younger quarterback. He earned NJAC Honorable Mention Honors in 2005 after starting eight game for the Lions and helping the team average 222.3 yards per game of total offense.

With 24 career appearances, Pfluge will be looked to for stability and leadership on the line this fall following the graduation of some key performers. He is a graduate of Union High School, where he starred in football, earning a starting spot in the Snapple Bowl and helping the 2000 team to a 7-3 finish. He is majoring in health and exercise science teaching at TCNJ.
