Returning to TCNJ’s football staff for the 15th year will be Ed Place, a 1985 graduate of the College. Place joined the Lions’ staff in the fall of 1993 after serving as an assistant coach at nearby Delaware Valley College, where he was in charge of the defensive backs, special teams, and punt coverage.
Place has also been a member of the football staff at Neshaminy High School and Bensalem High School where he also was also involved with the track and field programs at both schools. He is currently the assistant track and field coach at Neshaminy, where he is in charge of working with the shot put, discus, and javelin field events as well as strength training.
A starting linebacker at Bensalem High School, Place entered the coaching ranks some after graduation from high school in 1977 including eight years as the assistant varsity football coach for Bensalem. Place is currently a teacher in the Neshaminy School District and has completed work on his master’s degree here at TCNJ.
