A newcomer to TCNJ’s coaching staff this season, Marcel Wynychuk arrives on the Ewing campus with considerable playing experience having excelled for the University of Alberta (Edmonton) from 1989 to 1993. A three-year starter at right guard, Wynychuk was named to the 1993 Canada West All-Stars after also earning the President’s Trophy in 1993 which was based on leadership, on field performance and scholastic ability.
Following his playing days, he worked as an offensive line coach from 1994 to 1995 at the McNally High School in Edmonton, before returning to the University of Alberta for four seasons where he worked as an offensive line coach from 1996 to 2000. In 2001, he worked as an offensive line coach at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver before returning to his alma mater where he served an additional three seasons as the special team’s coordinator and defensive line coach. He has completed his level one and level two National Coaching Certification and has attended several coaching camps and clinics sponsored by Washington State University, Oregon State University, and the Alberta Football Coaching Clinics. He resides in Lambertville with his wife, Jennifer.
