The 2007 season found Jeff deZutter watching from the sidelines after suffering a season-ending injury in pre-season camp. Jeff is a tough receiver, who can find a way to get open. After starting at TCNJ as a baseball player, he has made the transition to a full-time football player for the Lions. He is coming off an impressive 2006 season that saw the sophomore play in nine games with seven catches for 39 yards and a 4.3 yards per game average.

As a newcomer, he appeared in five games with a pair of catchers for 23 yards, including a long of 20 yards. He is a graduate of Bernards High School and is the son of Steven and Kim deZutter. A former National Honor Society student, he excelled in football, basketball and baseball in high school. He earned third team all-state honors in 2003 and is a former first-team all-county pick in football. He is majoring in accounting at TCNJ.
