Thomas Crowley joined the TCNJ staff for the 2023-24 season.
A 1978 graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Crowley was captain of the 1978 Penn basketball team which advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16. Following graduation, he began a coaching career as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Penn and helped the Quakers to the 1979 Final Four. He went on to hold assistant basketball coaching positions at Xavier, Rutgers and Stanford, before being named head men’s basketball coach at St. Michael’s College (Vt.) in 1990. He coached at St. Michael’s for seven seasons and then served two years as head men’s basketball coach at Christian Brothers University (Tenn.). After one season as an assistant at Vermont, he transitioned into college athletics administration.
On the administrative side, Crowley has served as the Athletic Director at Niagara University, Associate Athletic Director at Butler University, and Assistant Commissioner of the Horizon League.
