Junior:
· Was a 27 game starter as a junior with a team-high 19.3 ppg.
· Was named to the NJAC All-Star First Team in 2003-2004.
· Picked up a pair of NJAC Player of the Week honors.
· Finished third in the NJAC in scoring, 15th in free throw percentage (70.3%), as well as fifth in three-point field goals made per game (2.44). Was also ranked 13th in the NJAC in steals with his 1.7 per game average.
· Became the 18th player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Enters senior year with 1,002 career points after collecting his 1,000 point against Rowan (2/26/04).
· Selected to 2004 NABC Second Team All-District and 2004 ECAC All-Star Second Team.
· Scored 20 or more points in 13 of 27 games and was the team’s high scorer 16 times last year.
· Career-high 32 points against Widener (11/28/03) and has now had three 10 rebound games on his career.
· Has handed out six assists twice in his career, while collecting six steals against Rowan (1/31/04).
Sophomore:
· A 15-game starter last year, Derick Grant played in all 25 games last season, while averaging 14.6 ppg.
· Finished fourth in the NJAC scoring race.
· Ranked fifth in the NJAC in both 3-point field goal percentage (38.5%) and three-pointers per game (2.0).
· Was the team’s high scorer seven times on the year.
· Career highs include 29 points to leads to a win in overtime over Moravian(1/9/03).
· His career high for rebounds is a 10 boards effort against Haverford (1/13/03).
Freshman:
· Started five games as a rookie, while playing in 23 with a 5.1 ppg average.
· Tapped as the NJAC Rookie of the Week 12/10/01.
· Grant shot 80% from the line (24-30) on the season and handed out 28 assists.
· Picked up 23 steals as well, while playing 17.8 minutes per game.
· Career highs as a rookie included 18 points against NJCU (12/5/01) and six rebounds three times on the year.
High School: Averaged 21 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 5.0 assists per game at Montgomery High School during his senior season. He was selected by the NJISAA to the North/South State All-Star game. Also selected to the Somerset County First-Team by the Star-Ledger. Tallied 1,178 career points and was the winner of a three-point shooting contest at the North/South All-Star game.
