Henderson is now in his seventh season as goalie coach for the Lions. His goalies have posted a save percentage of .459 and allowed just 4.84 Goals per game over his first six seasons. Four times during his tenure, the Lions have led the country in scoring defense.

During his playing career, Henderson was goalie for Stevens Institute of Technology from 1978-80, where he was named All-Knickerbocker Conference in both 1979 and 1980. He was inducted into the Stevens Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2012.
