Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey’s men’s and women’s swimming teams competed on Saturday hosting Division II Bloomsburg University. TCNJ’s men’s team picked up a 142-103 win, while the women’s race went to the Huskies, 137-125. TCNJ’s men’s team improves to 3-1 overall, while the Lion women are now 1-4.

TCNJ’s divers posted qualifying performances in the one and three meter events. Senior diver Lee Swanson (Princeton Junction, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) won the three meter diving her score of 260.70 and won the one meter event with her mark of 252.68, both NCAA qualifying scores. TCNJ’s sophomore diver Greg Lloyd (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) won the three meter diving event with a score of 279.30 and picked up first in the one meter with his mark of 270.68, also NCAA qualifying marks.

Women’s Highlights
Sophomore Emily Reichard (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) captured first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:29.63, just off TCNJ’s school record. She won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.27. and was also part of the Lions’ first place 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:54.28. Teaming on the relay with her were junior Christine Marino (Scotch Plains, NJ/Mount Saint Mary’s Academy), junior Ava Kiss (North Brunswick, NJ/Stuart Country Day), and sophomore Brittany Collyer (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township).
Kiss won the 200 freestyle in 1:56.53 and the 100 freestyle in 54.44, while also winning the 100 butterfly in 58.66.
Marino finished in third in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.23 and a third in the 200 backstroke in 2:16.47, while Collyer took third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.39.
Rookie Stephanie Seto (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) won the 500 freestyle in 5:21.64 and picked up a third in the 1000 freestyle in 11:18.63, while also swimming on the Lions’ second place 400 freestyle relay. The Lions posted a time of 3:47.56 behind the efforts of sophomore Sara Casciano (Hewitt, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy), senior Kerry Genese (Hamilton, NJ/Notre Dame), and freshman Christina Falcone (Newtown, PA/Notre Dame).
Junior Stefanie Rashti (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) won the 200 butterfly in 54.66, took second in the 400 individual medley in 4:53.22, while Falcone took second in the 100 butterfly in 1:04.67.
