Mahwah, NJ…The College of New Jersey's women's tennis team wrapped up the 2007 NJAC Championship on Saturday after sweeping the Pioneers of William Paterson University, 9-0 and Ramapo College, 9-0. With Saturday's two victories, TCNJ is now 5-0 overall and 5-0 in the NJAC. With the win, TCNJ's women's team has now won 121 consecutive NJAC matches dating back to the fall of 1982. TCNJ swept the NJAC this fall once again to win the program's 25th consecutive NJAC Champion.
Against the Pioneers, TCNJ did not drop a single game as they swept WPU 9-0. They then travelled north to the campus of Ramapo College and recorded their second win on the day as they beat Ramapo, 9-0. WPU drops to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC, while Ramapo is now 7-3 overall and 2-1 in the NJAC. Overall TCNJ is now also riding an 11-match regular-season win streak which dates back to March 31, 2007.
