Lions edged by Division II Bloomsburg, 135-127

Bloomsburg, PA…The College of New Jersey's men's and women's swimming and diving teams traveled to Bloomsburg University on Saturday to take on the NCAA Division II Huskies in a dual meet. TCNJ's men's team posted a 137-116 win over the Huskies to remain perfect on the year as the Lions are now 4-0. In the women's race, Bloomsburg edged TCNJ by a score of 135-127 as the Lions slipped to 1-4 on the year.

Freshman Margaret Molloy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) was a double winner for the women as she won a pair of freestyle events. She claimed first in the 500 free with a time of 5:21.29 and won the 1,000 free in 10:57.49.

Senior Ava Kiss (North Brunswick, NJ/Stuart Country Day) posted a winning time of 59.36 seconds in the 100 fly, while classmate Lauren Pfeifer (Freehold, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) took first in the 100 breast with a swift time of 1:11.15.

Another senior excelled for the Lions as Stefanie Rashti (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) took top honors in the 200 fly finishing the race with a clocking of 2:20.22.

TCNJ also had a top performance from Katie Morgan (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) as the freshman won the 200 breast with a winning time of 2:32.52.

The Lions added another winning effort in the 200 medley relay as Stacy Delehanty (Oceanport, NJ/Shore Regional), Pfeiffer, Kiss and Melissa Wallace (Metuchen, NJ/Metuchen) captured first with a combined time of 1:55.92.
