Gerard Haran (Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) to push the winning run across the plate for the Lions. With the win, the Lions are now 13-6 overall, while Arcadia drops to 10-5.
TCNJ lead 3-1 heading into the top of the ninth inning when the Knights’ bats came to life with back to back RBI doubles tied the score at 3-3 and forced the Lions to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning. Senior
Matt Zonies (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) led off the inning with a single to left field and sent junior pitcher

Dave Mebs (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) who reached and bunt single which moved Zonies to second. The Knights intentionally walked senior

Blake Bullis (Delran, NJ/Delran) to the plate. Bullis reached on a fielders’ choice as Arcadia through out Zonies as he headed home. With the bases still loaded, Haran was hit by Pennepacker on a 3-2 count to end the game as Mebs scored the winning run on the play.

Ken Spangenberg (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) led off with a walk off TCNJ’s relief pitcher
Matt Barrett (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley). Barrett recorded the next two outs with a strikeout and a fly out to left field before junior
John Curreri (Clinton, NJ/North Hunterdon) doubled to right to score Spangenberg. Freshman
Nick Goetz (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) doubles to right field and drove in Curreri to tie the action at 3-3.
For the game, TCNJ’s Botti was 2-3 with two runs scored, an RBI and five stolen bases. Junior short stop
Jeff Toth (Parlin, NJ/Sayreville War Memorial) added a 2-4 effort with an RBI, while stealing two bases for the Lions.
Arcadia’s Curreri went 3-4 with two runs scored, a pair of doubles and an RBI, while Goetz was 2-2 with two RBI’s.
On the mound for the Lions, junior
Brad Kittle (Millville, NJ/Millville) threw seven innings of one run, five hit ball with six strikeouts in the no decision. Barrett worked 1.2 innings with two earned runs off two hits with a pair of strikeouts. Senior
Dave Waseleski (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) collected the win as he worked 0.1 inning with a strikeout and a walk and is now 3-0 on the year.
Junior
Steve Chobert (Sinking Spring, PA/Conrad Weiser) threw seven innings as well with two earned runs off nine hits with five strikeouts for the no decision as well.
