Montclair, NJ...The College of New Jersey, ranked second in Division III received goals from five different players as the Lions remained unbeaten with a 5-1 victory over Montclair State in New Jersey Athletic Conference women's soccer action at Sprague Field on Saturday evening.

Brittany McGinley (Cranford, NJ / Cranford), Dana DiBruno (Cherry Hill, NJ / Cherry Hill East), Melissa Martin (Skillman, NJ / Montgomery), Jamie Kunkel (Mount Laurel, NJ / Lenape) and Nicole Papola (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) each registered a goals as the Lions improved to 6-0-1 on the season, 2-0-1 in the NJAC as they came within seven minutes of recording their sixth consecutive shutout. TCNJ also took the first meeting between the teams since a 1-0 TCNJ victory in the 2006 NJAC Tournament Championship Game.

Sophomore goalkeeper Leah Tepperman (North Andover, MA / North Andover) made six saves for the Red Hawks, who fell to 2-5-1 on the year, 1-2 in the conference.

After a scoreless 30 minutes, McGinley put the Lions on the board at31:10 as she notched her first goal of the season as TCNJ led 1-0 at the half. In the second period the Lions widened their lead 5:55 into the half as DiBruno scored her second goal of the year on an unassisted tally. Kunkel made the game 3-0 just three minutes later with her first of the year off an assist from Kristen Cubicciotti (North Haledon, NJ / Immaculate Heart Academy) and Martin's first goal of the year at 74:55 extended the lead to 4-0. Papola capped off the TCNJ scoring at 76:04 as she added her first goal.

Montclair State would break the shutout with 6:39 left as sophomore Natalia Sisti (Lincoln Park, NJ / DePaul) collected her team-leading sixth goal of the year, ending TCNJ's shutout streak at just over 639 minutes (639:19). The goal was the first allowed by the Lions since the 4:02 mark of their season opener against Frostburg State on September 1.

Jessica Clarke (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Valley) made one save for the Lions in 86 minutes before giving way to Amy Hashem (West Windsor, NJ / West Windsor-Plainsboro South), who played the final 14 minutes.

Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, September 26 as the Red Hawks go on the road to Newark to face the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark in an NJAC matchup at 7:00 pm. TCNJ is back on the field on Monday, September 24 as the Lions host Gwynedd-Mercy College at the TCNJ Soccer Complex at 3:30 pm.
