TCNJ and Rutgers-Camden deadlocked at 1-1 in men's soccer

Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey men's soccer team hosted Rutgers University-Camden on Wednesday afternoon in TCNJ's Soccer Complex. The game went down as a 1-1 overtime tie marking the third of the season for TCNJ and the second for the Raptors. TCNJ is now 6-1-3 overall and 2-0-2 in the NJAC, while Rutgers University-Camden is 6-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the NJAC.

TCNJ's senior midfielder Joe McGinley (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) added his first goal of the season as he converted a pass from senior Nima Rahimi (Wharton, NJ/Morris Hills) at 11:42 to break a 0-0 tie. TCNJ took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Just after entering the game off the bench, freshman midfielder Ronald Villatoro (Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch) used a feed from senior Onur Yilmaz (Delran, NJ/Delran) scored his third goal of the season at 69:59 off a break away from the left side of the field to the right lower corner of the goal.
In overtime period, both teams had their opportunities, but both goalies came up big when needed. In net for the Lions, senior Steve Scuttellaro (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) made eight saves, while Rutgers-Camden's senior keeper Brent Grunow (Estell Manor, NJ/Buena Regional) made 9 saves in the outing.
