TCNJ's men tally key win over Rowan in men's swimming and diving

Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey's men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted Rowan University on Wednesday night at TCNJ's Aquatic Center. Both TCNJ teams came out as the victors as the Lion men posted a 176-123 win over Rowan to improve to 5-2 overall, while Rowan falls to 5-3. TCNJ's women tallied a 189-108 win to improve to 2-6 overall, while the Profs drop to 4-4. 

TCNJ's junior diver Greg Lloyd (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) posted an NCAA provisional mark in the three meter diving as he won the event with a score of 323.15, while adding a second place finish in the one meter event with his score of 263.15. Rowan's junior Bryan Carlisle (Somers Point, NJ/Mainland Regional) added a first in the one meter event with his performance of 264.25, while taking second in the three meter with a score of 306.30.

Junior Mike Molloy (Toms River, N/Toms River East) added two wins for the Lion men as he won the 200 freestyle in 1:46.00 and the 00 backstroke in 1:59.04, while senior Liam Gallagher (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) added a first in the 100 backstroke in 53.98. He was also part of the Lions' first place 200 medley relay team which posted a time of 1:35.98 behind the efforts of junior Thomas Nawrot (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick), sophomore Myles O'Connor (Santa Monica, CA), senior Josh Forsman (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial), and Gallagher.

TCNJ also won the 400 freestyle relay to close the meet with their time of 3:14.53 as Forsman, Gallagher, freshman Shawn Kircher (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North), and senior Jonaid Lone (Leonia, NJ/Don Bosco Prep) combined.

Rowan's senior Kevin Baker (Landing, NJ/Roxbury) was a double winner for the Profs taking first in the 200 individual medley in 1:58.90 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:10.28.
