Scranton, PA… The College of New Jersey wrestling team wrapped up the regular season with two more victories as the Lions picked up victory over the University of Scranton and Oswego State.

The 18th-ranked Lions handled the host Royals by the score of 54-0 and then beat the Lakers of Oswego State by the score of 29-10.

Those two victories leave veteran head coach David Icenhower one win shy of becoming the third coach in Division III to hit the 500-win plateau. Icenhower, who is in his 33rd season, will hit that milestone with his first win next season as he has a career mark of 499-74-4. The Lions were 16-1-1 this season.

Winning both of their matches on Saturday were Dan Hughes (Delran, NJ/Delran) at 133, Tyler Branham (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny) at 149, Joe Falco (Ocean, NJ/Ocean Twp.) at 157, Greg Osgoodby (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) at 174, and Scott Kelley (Vineland, NJ/Sacred Heart) at 184. Senior John Dinan (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) also had two wins with one coming at 165 and the other at 197.

TCNJ has a break in the schedule until Sunday, February 22 when they head to York (PA) College for the Metropolitan Conference Championships.
