Box Score

Randor, PA… Sophomore Kathleen Notos (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) scored twice and senior Leah Geissler (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) picked up her first career goal as The College of New Jersey field hockey team secured a 4-0 road win at Cabrini College on Thursday.

The win puts the 12th-ranked Lions at 12-4 on the season.

TCNJ picked up what turned out to be the game-winning goal 16:11 into the game as Notos made a nice play diving to knock in a pass from junior Leigh Mitchell (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape).

That goal held until the second when Geissler picked up her first career goal putting in a rebound for a 2-0 Lion lead. That goal came 10:14 into the new half.

Notos added her second of the game a shade over six minutes later, tipping in a shot from Caitlyn Jenkins (Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway). Those two goals give Notos a team-leading 11 on the season.

The visitors tacked on one more goal in the closing minutes as sophomore Emilie Taylor (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) chipped in with her first of the season as Mitchell collected her second helper of the game.

Lion goalie Shannon Syciarz (Garwood, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) picked up her sixth shutout of the season as she finished with four saves.

TCNJ returns to New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Saturday, October 23 hosting Montclair State University in a 1 p.m. start in Lions' Stadium.
