Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey men's tennis team collected its eighth win of the season on Saturday as the Lions cruised past visiting New York University by the score of 8-1.

TCNJ is now 8-4 on the season.

The Lions swept all three doubles spots with the top pair of Steven Fernandez (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) and Stewart Fernandez (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) won 8-5, with the second pair of Dean Thompson (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) and TJ Riley (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Moorestown) earning an 8-1 win. At third doubles, Jonathan Yu (Hamilton Square, NJ/Steinert) and Dan Lee (Abington, PA/Abington) completed TCNJ sweep of the three team points with an 8-2 win.

In singles, TCNJ won the second through six positions with Stewart Fernandez, Yu, Thompson, Keith Goldstein (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) and Lee winning those spots.

The Lions are on the road for another dual meet tomorrow heading to Trinity College for a 1 p.m. start.
