Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey men's tennis team used a key win at fourth singles to pull out a 5-4 victory over visiting Haverford College on Tuesday.

The win puts the Lions at 9-6 on the season, while the Fords fell to 8-6.

With the match tied at four wins each, TCNJ got a win from freshman Dean Thompson (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) at fourth singles to clinch the match. He outlasted Haverford's Natty Sergay (Bethesda, MD/Bethesda-Chevy Chase) by the scores of 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.

The Lions also got wins at third singles by Jonathan Yu (Hamilton Square, NJ/Steinert), Keith Goldstein (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) in the fifth spot, and Dan Lee (Abington, PA/Abington) in the sixth position.

At second doubles, Thompson and TJ Riley (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Moorestown) teamed up for the Lions to record a 9-8 (8-6) win.

TCNJ caps the regular season on Wednesday hosting Stevens Institute of Technology in a 3:30 p.m. start at TCNJ's Tennis Complex.
