Cortland, NY… SUNY Cortland scored seven of the nine goals in the second half to overcome a one-goal deficit at the break and deal The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team a 14-10 defeat on Sunday in the final game of the regular season.

Third-ranked TCNJ finishes the regular season with a record of 14-3, while the ninth-ranked Red Dragons improve to 14-2 winning their sixth straight game.

The Lions will now await the announcement of the field for the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament. The selections for the tournament will be revealed on Sunday, May 9.

TCNJ led 8-7 at the break, before Cortland scored five of the first six goals in the new period to take a 12-9 lead.

Junior Leigh Mitchell (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) led the Lions with five goals and two assists and is now just one assist shy of tying the single-season record for assists in a season. Her next assist will tie her with Lee Moreau, who dished out 37 during the 1989 campaign.

Senior Lisa Seldeen (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) added two goals and two assists.

Junior Mary Waller (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) had a busy game in goal for the Lions as she finished with a season-high 14 saves.
