Montclair, NJ ... The College of New Jersey men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Montclair State University. The Lions (2-5-1, 1-1 NJAC)) were down by a goal through 50 minutes of play, but allowed three goals in a 15-minute span to give the Red Hawks their fifth win of the season.

After MSU (5-1-2, 2-0 NJAC) made it a two-goal lead just four minutes into the second half, junior Luigi Moriello (Ewing, NJ/Notre Dame) scored his third goal of the season to pull TCNJ within one. But Red Hawks forward Dan Mendoza scored his second goal in eight minutes followed by two more MSU tallies to put the game out of reach.

Junior Ed Kozic (Raritan, NJ/Immaculata) notched his second assist of the season when he crossed a ball from the right side to set up Moriello.

The Lions continue conference play when they visit Rutgers University-Camden on Wednesday night. TCNJ returns home on Saturday, October 2 when they take on Rutgers University-Newark, which is the final event scheduled for Homecoming Day.
