Ewing, NJ … An all-around effort by The College of New Jersey women's basketball team led to its first New Jersey Athletic Conference win of the year as the Lions downed Rutgers University-Camden 77-45.
The Lions took care of the basketball, forced 25 turnovers, and scored a season high 77 points as 10 different players peppered the scoring column in the victory.

Hannah Tait (Staten Island, NY/Notre Dame Academy) put up a season-high 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, while freshman
Tiffany DeTulio (Colts Neck, NJ/Colts Neck) netted a career-high 13 points to lead TCNJ's offense. Senior
Alex Gregorek (Mahwah, NJ/Academy of Holy Angels) had 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists, and junior
Jessica Imhof (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) contributed nine points and three steals on the night.
TCNJ boasted a balance offensive attack in the opening 20 minutes as nine different players registered points. Sophomore
Candace Vigo (New Brunswick, NJ/New Brunswick Health and Science Tech.) and senior
Stephanie Prall (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) went a combined 5-for-5 from the floor in their first six minutes of play off the bench staking the Lions to a 27-17 advantage at the 8:00 mark. The Scarlet Raptors cut into the lead as Stephanie Deisley (Riverside, NJ/Holy Cross) hit the team's fourth, three-pointer of the half to close the gap to 27-20.
The Lions, however, had things clicking posting a 12-4 run to head into the locker room with a 39-24 halftime lead.
TCNJ put the game away early in the second half holding Rutgers-Camden scoreless for the first six minutes of the period. Gregorek dropped in a pair of shots from the paint and Tait knocked down a three-pointer to stretch the lead to 22.
The Lions turned the ball over just eight times all game. Senior
Katie Occhipinti (Millington, NJ/The Pingry School) did a solid job running the point, dishing out four assists and matching a season-high with four rebounds. Freshman
Malika Miller (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) also provided a spark off the bench hitting both of her shots while nabbing a steal.
Sophomore Alyce Milakovic (Blackwood, NJ/Triton Regional) led Rutgers-Camden with 13 points and six rebounds. Junior Brittany Turner (Belleville, NJ/Queen of Peace) added 11 points and six assists, and freshman Tina Croxton (Deptford, NJ/Deptford) chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.
The Lions return to Packer Hall this weekend to take on NJAC foe New Jersey City University on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Scarlet Raptors will battle Rutgers University-Newark in Camden on Saturday at 3 p.m.
