Ewing, NJ…Junior Camille Passucci (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) had a five-point game as The College of New Jersey field hockey team silenced visiting Cabrini College 5-0 on Thursday.

The win put fifth-ranked TCNJ at 14-2 on the season as the Lions extended their modest winning streak to four straight. While TCNJ added to its streak, the Cavaliers saw theirs come to an end at six games as they fell to 10-5.

Passucci took charge in the opening half scoring a pair of goals before setting up a third. Her first goal came midway through the period as she batted in her own rebound while falling down by the far post and then made it 2-0 knocking in a crossing pass from Erin Healy (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan).

The pair then switched roles on the third goal as Healy deflected in a crossing pass from Passucci with 7:34 remaining in the half.

In the second half, a couple of Passucci's teammates got in on the scoring as Caitlyn Jenkins (Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway) tipped in a nice centering pass from Victoria Martin (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson), before Alex Okuniewicz (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) tallied unassisted. The goal by Jenkins came 8:38 into the fresh half, while Okuniewicz's came with 13:25 left in the contest.

With her two goals in the win, Passucci took over sole possession of the team lead with 11, while Jenkins is right on her heels with 10.

Lion goalies Shannon Syciarz (Garwood, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) and Amanda Krause (Richboro, PA/Council Rock North) combined on the shutout with Syciarz making a pair of saves.

In goal for the Cavaliers, Genevieve Paulin (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan) had a busy game making 15 saves.

TCNJ is home again on Sunday, October 23 as they host 20th-ranked Juniata College at 2 p.m. in Lions' Stadium.
