Ewing, NJ...The College of New Jersey men's tennis team swept all three points in doubles to propel them to an 8-1 home win over Drew University on Wednesday.

The Lions are now 6-2 on the spring, while the Rangers fell to 5-6.

Senior Jeremy Eckardt (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) and sophomore TJ Riley (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Moorestown) got the Lions rolling at doubles as they won 9-7 in the top spot. At second doubles, Dean Thompson (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) and Steven Fernandez (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) won 8-2 at second singles, while Jordan Cruz (Manasquan, NJ/CBA) and Howard Telson (Edison, NJ/J.P. Stevens) also won by that score in the third spot completing the sweep of the three team points.

The Lions also claimed five points in singles action as Eckardt, Riley, Stewart Fernandez (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South), Telson, and Cruz each notched victories.

TCNJ returns to the court this weekend for a pair of matches heading to Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday and then to Skidmore College on Sunday.
