Radnor, PA...Eight different players scored goals for The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team as the Lions rolled to an 18-4 win at Cabrini College on Saturday.
The win put the fourth-ranked Lions at 7-1 on the season, while the Cavaliers dropped to 2-4.
Junior
Trenna Hill (Syracuse, NY/Lafayette) got TCNJ rolling as she opened the scoring 2:24 into the game. Junior
Alex Spark (Harvey Cedars, NJ/Southern Regional) kept things going reeling off the next three goals as the Lions would end up scoring the first eight goals of the game.
After Cabrini made 9-2, TCNJ capped the half with a 6-0 run that gave them a 14-2 lead at the break.
In the second half, the Lions outscored their hosts 6-2.
Sophomore
Lauren Pigott (Jobstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) led all players with five goals and also added six draw controls and four ground balls. Spark finished with four goals and two assists, while
Sara Keating (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) collected three goals. Freshman
Lydia Carra (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) added to the win with a pair of goals and
Leigh Mitchell (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) scored once and set up two others.
Kathleen Notos (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) and
Erin Healy (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan) also chipped in offensively with a goal and an assist each.
TCNJ returns to Lions' Stadium on Tuesday, march 27 when they host Eastern University at 7 p.m.
