 Gwynedd Valley, PA… Gwynedd-Mercy College gave the top-ranked The College of New Jersey field hockey team an early scare, but the Lions calmly responded with four unanswered goals the rest of the way to pick up a 4-1 road win on Thursday.
  
 The victory kept TCNJ undefeated on the season at 4-0 and pushed its winning streak to 18 straight.
  
 After Gwynedd-Mercy (3-2) scored off of a penalty corner 3:47 into the game, Lion senior 
Jillian Nealon (Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) knotted the game less than eight minutes later and then put TCNJ in front with her 10
th goal of the season with at the 16:33 mark. That goal was assisted by 
Erin Healy (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan).
  
 Healy then netted the only goal of the second half 48 seconds into the new period with the Lions getting one more tally at the very end. TCNJ got that final goal with no time on the clock as 
Erin Waller (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) scored on a feed from 
Camille Passucci (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) on a play that started on a penalty corner.
  
 Freshman 
Roisin Dougherty (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) won her third straight start in goal for the Lions.
  
 TCNJ remains on the road heading to Johns Hopkins University on Sunday, September 16 at noon.
