The Lions trailed by a goal in the opening period, but responded in impressive fashion tying the game by the half and then exploding for three more goals in the final frame. The win put the ninth-ranked Lions at 14-3 on the season, while the 13th-ranked Falcons fell to 12-4.

Messiah grabbed a 1-0 lead with 15:29 left before the break on a play that started on a penalty corner. It only took the Lions 4:17 to get the goal back when they were awarded a penalty stroke. Freshman Lexi Smith (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.) took the stroke for TCNJ and tied the game.

Once the game switched into the second half, the hosts took control of the scoreboard.
