Huntington, PA… The College of New Jersey field hockey team scored four straight goals and used a solid performance from junior goalie
Amanda Krause (Richboro, PA/Council Rock North) to collect a 4-1 road win at Juniata College on Saturday.

Krause recorded a career-high 11 saves for her third win of the season, with the Eagles spoiling her bid for the shutout midway through the second half. She was especially good in the opening half stopping all eight shots she faced.

TCNJ (3-1) scored three times in the first half with junior
Lindsey Hatch (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) getting the visitors going with her third of the season 14:43 into the game. That goal was set up junior
Erin Waller (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) on a play that started on a penalty corner.

Seven minutes later, Waller blasted a shot in from just inside the circle, while
Lexi Smith (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.) cashed in a penalty stroke with 4:22 left in the opening half to send the Lions into the break with a 3-0 advantage.

In the second half, freshman
Danielle Andreula (New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) netted her first collegiate goal extending the lead to 4-0.

Juniata scored four minutes later, but the Lions kept the Eagles in check the rest of the way for a 4-1 win.

TCNJ opens New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, September 17 making to the trip to Richard Stockton College at 7 p.m.
