Galloway, NJ… Two quick goals late in the first half propelled The College of New Jersey field hockey team to a 3-0 win on Tuesday at Richard Stockton College.

The win was the fourth straight for the 12
th-ranked Lions and they are 1-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Ospreys saw their four-game winning streak come to an end as they fell to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

The two quick goals came in the final six minutes of the first half with junior
Victoria Martin (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) scoring the first of those unassisted. That goal came with 5:33 left before the half.

TCNJ doubled that advantage just 30 seconds later when freshman
Lexi Smith (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.) converted on a penalty stroke for her fourth goal of the season.

Lindsey Hatch (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) bumped the margin to 3-0 midway through the second half with an assist from Smith.
