Box Score Grantham, PA... The College of New Jersey scored three goals in the second half to erase a two-goal deficit and came away with a 4-3 road win at Messiah College on Saturday.
 
The sixth-ranked Lions moved to 7-0 on the season, while the 13
th-ranked Falcons fell to 4-3. This marked the first time this season TCNJ has faced a ranked opponent.
 
The hosts scored a goal early in the second half to take a 3-1 lead, but the Lions stormed back. Sophomore 
Lexi Smith (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.) closed the gap to one goal scoring just 1:19 after the Falcons had gone up by a pair. That goal came 3:31 into the period.
 
Sophomore 
Alicia Wagner (Hopewell, Hopewell Valley) tied the game with her first goal as a Lion. That goal came with 22:20 left in the contest.
 
TCNJ reclaimed the lead with 12:09 left in the game as Smith picked up her second of the game on a play that originated on a penalty corner.
 
The team's defense then clamped down and protected that advantage to remain perfect on the season.
 
In the opening half, the Lions struck first as senior 
Lindsey Hatch (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) netted her team-leading 13
th goal of the season. That goal came 7:55 into the contest.
 
The Falcons then took the lead with two goals by the end of the half, setting the stage for TCNJ's comeback in the second half.
 
Goalies 
Kelly Schlupp (Holland, PA/Council Rock South) earned the win between the pipes to run her individual record to 7-0.
 
TCNJ continues is stretch of seven straight games on the road on Tuesday, September 23 playing at Gwynedd Mercy University at 6 p.m.
