Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey field hockey team remained perfect both overall and against conference opponents as the Lions posted a 6-0 shutout over visiting Ramapo College on Tuesday.
 
The win bumped top-ranked TCNJ to 12-0 and they are 3-0 against New Jersey Athletic Conference competition. The loss dropped the Roadrunners to 1-12 overall and 0-3 in league play.
 
The Lions opened the scoring 2:41 into the game as senior 
Alicia Wagner (Hopewell, NJ/Hopewell Valley) popped in her own rebound for a 1-0 lead.
 
Junior 
Danielle Andreula (New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) made it 2-0 just over six minutes later when her shot from the near side found its way into the net.
 
TCNJ added one more goal before the half as junior 
Jaclyn Douglas (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) knocked in a crossing pass from freshman 
Elizabeth Morrison (Stonington, CT/Stonington). That goal came 1:41 after Andreula's goal.
 
In the second half, the hosts added three more goals as junior 
Lexi Smith (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.), Wagner and sophomore 
Lauren O'Keefe (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands) each scored.
 
TCNJ's 
Kelly Schlupp (Holland, PA/Council Rock South) and 
Christina Fabiano (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) shared the shutout as the defense in front of them did not allow a shot.
 
Ramapo goalie 
Emily Wisneski (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) was busy as she finished with 11 saves.
 
The Lions take the field again on Saturday, October 17 when they head to Ursinus College to face the eighth-ranked Bears at noon.
