Lions Drop Season Opener to Scranton

TCNJ Women's Basketball opened the 2015-16 season at the Morgan Stanley DeSales Tip-Off Tournament playing Scranton University. The Lion's lost to the Lady Royals by a score of 59-53.

The Royals started quickly building a 15-2 lead early in the first quarter. The Lion's battled back to enter halftime with a 1 point lead with a score of 23-22.

The lead changed 9 times and was a battle until the final seconds. The Lion's had three players score in double digits. Kate O'Leary had 15 points, Charlotte Schum had 14 and Angelica Esposito had 12 points. Jess Lynch, Kim Dana and Charlotte Schum each had 5 rebounds to lead the Lions in rebounding.

The team is back in action on Sunday, November 15th at 2:00 pm against Widener University.
