YORK, P.A. (December 5, 2015) –The College of New Jersey had four place winners at York this past Saturday. The Lions entered 18 competitors all of whom won at least one bout. Ten Lions won at least two bouts and at seven weights the team won four or more matches per bracket. Overall the team won 41 bouts and earned a fifth place finish.

Sophomore Ryan Budzek took the lead for TCNJ and won his first collegiate tournament at 141 pounds. Budzek was seeded fourth and knocked off seeds one and two en route to an impressive finish. Nick Herring made the 165-pound final winning four bouts. Herring has been a finalist in both tournaments that the team has competed in this year. Doug Hamann placed third at 174 pounds and won five bouts on the day. Antonio Mancella battled to sixth place in a tough 157-pound weight class.
